Seeking to interact with other scientific societies that have an affinity with SBCS themes, the executive board is working to get closer to the Brazilian Water Resources Association (ABRAHidro).

In June, president Maria Eugenia Escobar, secretary general Reinaldo Cantarutti, executive secretary Raphael Bragança and treasurer Igor Assis held a virtual meeting with the coordinators of ABRAHidro’s Sediment Engineering and Hydrometry Technical Commission Hugo de Oliveira Fagundes and Liege Wosiacki to exchange information on the organization of each entity, financial maintenance, event organization and content production.

At this first meeting, the boards of both organizations decided to pursue joint projects, such as participation in events, production of lives on contemporary issues involving water and soils, and political insertion for the defense and participation of science in national affairs.

At this first meeting, the boards agreed to look for ways to make special discounts for members of both organizations available at events and publications.
