Video Contest – World Soil Day 2025! 🌍
In celebration of World Soil Day (WSD) 2025, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), through its Global Soil Partnership (GSP), the European Union via its EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”, and the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) are launching the “Soil in 1 Minute!” video contest! 🌱
🎥 This contest invites scientists, designers, communicators, educators, and creative individuals to produce short and engaging explanatory videos (maximum 1 minute) aimed at children aged 8 to 15. Participants should use simple language, drawings, models, or their own footage to show why healthy urban soils are essential for healthy cities.
📋 Requirements:
👧 Target audience: children and teenagers aged 8–15
🗣️ Language: any (with English subtitles)
⏱️ Duration: up to 1 minute
🎨 Content: creative, scientific, and directly related to the theme “Healthy soils for healthy cities”
📹 Format: high-resolution MP4
✋ Originality: all materials (drawings, narration, footage, etc.) must be fully original
📩 Submissions until November 10, 2025
Videos must be submitted via the online form and shared through Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer.

🏆 Prizes:
🏅 All pre-selected participants will receive a certificate of participation, and the top three winners will receive FAO publications and gadgets.
🏅 The three winning videos will be featured during the WSD 2025 celebration (December 5) and widely promoted across FAO, GSP, and IUSS platforms.
