Pre-registration and Registration – XVII RCC

Pre-registration for the XVII Meeting on Soil Classification and Correlation (RCC) was carried out from March 3 to 25, 2026, with the objective of gathering information from interested participants and supporting the selection process, in accordance with previously established and published criteria defined by the Organizing Committee.

A total of 80 spots were made available. However, considering that historically around 15% of selected candidates do not complete their registration, 91 participants were invited. This measure aims to optimize the filling of vacancies and ensure greater efficiency in defining the final group of participants.

The list of selected pre-registered participants can be accessed here:

Selected candidates will be officially notified via RCC email with detailed instructions for completing their registration. Participation must be confirmed through payment of the registration fee between April 13 and 30, 2026. Failure to complete payment within the established deadline will be considered a withdrawal, and the spot will be reassigned to candidates on the waiting list.

The registration fee is R$ 1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred Brazilian reais). Members of the Brazilian Soil Science Society (SBCS) with the 2026 annual fee duly paid are eligible for a R$ 300.00 discount, totaling R$ 1,200.00 (one thousand two hundred Brazilian reais).

Selection Criteria for Participants of the XVII RCC

Additional Information

The high level of interest in RCCs highlights the technical and scientific relevance of the event within the context of Soil Science in Brazil, particularly in areas related to soil classification and correlation.

In this context, post-Congress pedological field trips, organized within the Brazilian Soil Science Congress, are also noteworthy. These activities represent complementary opportunities for technical training and exchange. They typically last one to two days and involve a smaller, more diverse audience, facilitating the participation of students and professionals at different stages of their academic and professional careers.
