Knowledge of Brazilian Soils Gains National Academic Recognition

The book “Soil Health in Tropical Ecosystems: The Basis for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change” was recognized by the 2026 Jabuti Academic Award in the Agricultural Sciences and Environmental Sciences category. The book has 151 authors from 59 institutions located in all regions of the country.

The work highlights the importance of soil health for sustainability, food production, and addressing climate change, in addition to representing an important contribution from the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership – CARBON/USP.

The recognition reinforces the relevance of Soil Science and the work carried out by researchers and institutions committed to building a more sustainable future.
